No sound or volume during play back
This problem is usually caused by some other software on the system altering the system mixer volume settings. Newer versions of Microsoft's Media Player will cause this. Other audio players are also commonly guilty of this behavior.You can fix this by reviewing all of the mixer volume settings in your PC's volume/mixer control. There are usually two separate volume sliders: one for the system, and one for the MIDI application. Both can have a large impact on play back volume.
On Windows XP and earlier systems, you can open your system's volume/mixer control by doing the following:
- Press the Windows Start button
- Select Run
- Enter "Sndvol32.exe" and press Enter
In Windows Vista, you must double click the speaker icon near the computer's clock in the task bar.
In NoteWorthy Composer Version 2, as well as the NoteWorthy Composer Viewer, you can open the volume control directly from the program. Simply click the yellow speaker icon
