Realistic crescendo timpani rolls |
|
| User Tip #: 127 Offered By: Cliff Bohnson on 2002-08-11 09:15:39 Last Modified: 2002-08-11 09:15:39 |
For more realistic crescendo timpani rolls: before the roll, place an MPC for reverb (if necessary); place a second MPC for volume/linear sweep/32nd notes, with an initial setting of 20, and a Setting 2 = 120. Set the offset of Setting 2 for the end of the roll (32 if a one-measure roll). Then notate the roll with alternating 64th-notes -- written pitch/semi-tone higher/written pitch/etc. for the length of the roll.
