And if yes, could you tell me if it's usable with NWC?
http://www.autoitscript.com/autoit3/

From reading about it, it looks as if it's focused on doing stuff on the system, rather than within an application.

The reason I wonder is, that I have enough applications installed without having to deal with yet another one that leaves entries in the registry behind when removed. It seems most apps that use the registry do, unfortunately.

TIA

Pär.

G'day Pär,
what an interesting link...

As far as leftovers in the registry are concerned, I think you are OK:

As with previous versions, AutoIt has been designed to be as small as possible [~115KB] and stand-alone with no external .dll files or registry entries required. Scripts can also be compiled into stand-alone executables with Aut2Exe.

I hope Andrew Purdam see this link, this product may resolve a couple of pet irritations he has with php...

Yes, it can be useful. I have some VBScripts that I use to send keystrokes to NoteWorthy.

When "allow layering" was not accessable from the main menu, I used a VBScript with AutoIt to toggle layering. AutoIt gives you much more control over where the keystrokes go. Clipboard functions are useful too.

AutoIt is not so useful as part of a User Tool. NoteWorthy doesn't respond to messages while the script is running. There are probably ways around that, but I'm currently trying to see what User Tools can do when used as intended.

I did not use AutoIt. But I am looking at it right now - thanks VERY much for the suggestion.
It looks like a very useful tool. It has at least two things in common with Noteworthy: its size and its ease of use.

Aha, thanks, Lawrie. I must have missed that part.

It wasn't my intention to use it instead of the User Tool, but more like a companion to it. It must be easier, and possibly faster, to use than the User Tool, which has its quirks, to say the least.

Why? You've got an "itch"? ;-)
