For a pair of two-note chords with the notes of different pitch, how do you put a slur across the two top note and the two bottom notes? Jerry S.

Multi-voice arrangements on a single staff requires the use of layering. Then, each voice has its own layer, and can have its own slur. faq #24: FAQ - How are 2 voices notated on a single staff?
