Please forgive me / yell at me if this is too far off topic, but... I'm trying my hands at my first proper Waltz. i was doing fairly well for the first secton, then I met up with this in my pre-sketched melody line:
Frankly, I just can't figure out how to accompany it. Anyone have any appropriate links?

It's not too far off a traditional German waltz. You could play this on lower instruments, and have violins or upper woodwinds twirling masses of 16th notes all around it. I apologize for the simplicity of this example, I'm no composer, but perhaps it illustrates the style I'm trying to describe. Use clarinet as the instrument for best effect, and try it an octave higher than written, too.

Given the feel of what came before, I simplified to 8th notes, but aye, thanks! Think it's coming along nicely, and now I need only do the second verse. I love vocal waltzes =)
