I love the old Crystal FM Synth sounds, and I'd like to get samples of them. Would it be possible to download a soundfont for them, or a sample pack of some sort? Or would I be better off finding an old sound card with this synth and manually recording samples?

Try the HammerSound site. You may find a suitable SoundFont there, or at least something equivalent. Just select Sounds in the top left menu and then go to the SoundFont Library.
