Hi, I would like to create an effect of a "gong", and have a midi which has this effect. Hence I transferred it to .nwc file to see which instrument / channel it is in since the usual instruments do not have a gong and channel 10 doesn't either. I realised it is in channel 11 OR channel 10, but with the addition of the timpani instrument. However, I realised that doing this manually screws up the whole program, either I end up not being able to change instruments at all or it sounds like a "gong" in the nwc program but in the winamp, just like a normal timpani.

Any idea how to solve this? Thanks.

Experiment a bit with channel 10, and notes well below central C. Low C#, E, G and A should do the trick.
