The capabilities of NoteWorthy UpgMaker are provided by two applications, the UpgMaker and the Updater/Applicator.

The UpgMaker
This program is used to identify new, changed, or deleted files between the old and new versions of a file set. This information is used by the program to generate an upgrade file. The generated upgrade file contains only the changes to the file set. It is often considerably smaller than the sum of the file sizes in the collection.

You can see in the screen shot above that the UpgMaker includes many user friendly features. This makes the steps in creating an upgrade file simple. To start, just drag and drop the old file folder and the new file folder onto the UpgMaker Old and New icons. The Auto-Detect feature will scan the folders and create a list of files that need to be updated, removed and/or added. After the list is created and the configuration saved, the click of an icon will build the upgrade file. If requested, a summary report will be generated showing the percentage of space saved by using an upgrade file.
