Download NoteWorthy Composer ™ Browser Plugin

NoteWorthy Composer Browser Plugin 1.75b (404 KB) Instructions: Download and run this plugin installer program. During the installation, select which browser(s) should be configured to utilize the plugin. Once the setup is complete, you should close all browser windows before proceeding with further browsing. Description: Loads and plays *.nwc files created by NoteWorthy Composer directly within your browser.

** Note Regarding Microsoft Internet Explorer ** In 2003, Microsoft has been removing support for Netscape Style Browser Plugins from Internet Explorer. The NWC Browser Plugin will not work with newer versions of Internet Explorer, due to actions taken by Microsoft. See our news on the subject for full details. You can still install the plugin, but it may not work if you use a newer edition of Internet Explorer where Microsoft has removed Netscape Plugin support.

Minimum requirements:
- PC running Windows 95 or later version of 32-bit Windows
- Sound card or MIDI port
- A recent web browser, such as:
  - Netscape 7
  - Opera 5 or later
  - Microsoft Internet Explorer 4 or 5 (see note above)

This product has been tested with all of the following Windows versions:
- Windows XP
- Windows ME
- Windows 2000
- Windows 98 SE
- Windows 98
- Windows NT 4
- Windows 95 and Windows 95 OSR2

This product has been tested with all of the following browsers:
- Netscape Navigator 4.75

NoteWorthy Composer Browser Plugin Authoring Guidelines

The following rules should be followed in order to achieve best results when designing a web page that uses the plugin:

1. The web designer can use the <EMBED> or <OBJECT> HTML tags to embed an NWC file in a web page. An example of this can be found at Basic Sample (Uses Moonlight Sonata). You can load this page and view the source to see how this is accomplished. A second example, demonstrating sample display using JavaScript, can be found at Show Samples Using JavaScript.
   
   
2. For proper interworking with the browser, the web server should configure *.nwc files with a MIME type of application/x-nwc. If this is not done, the browser may not interwork with the plugin properly.
